It’s not always been plain sailing but

What a way to end Year 6 and start Year 7 – the JBN Congress, an IoD Mastermind, an Annual Lecture, Sales training delivery, an evening with Elton John and working my passage between Corsica and Sardinia on a 41-foot Yacht.

Monday 10th – final run through of tomorrow’s opening presentation, before driving to Oxford and hosting the pre-congress dinner for the Jet Business Network – a network for Independent Retail Owners.

Tuesday 11th – facilitation of the 11th Annual JBN Congress, 6 excellent speakers addressing the theme “Planning for the Future” and refreshingly not a single mention of the B word.

Wednesday 12th – desk day on emails, admin and follow up calls, one of which was a referral for some sales development training. Evening at Worcester Business School for the Annual Lecture delivered by a very entertaining Professor Alex De Ruyter of the Centre for Brexit Studies.

Thursday 13th – on my feet from 10 till 4, delivering sales process training to a team of 6, then back down the motorway to host the Hereford & Worcestershire IoD Mastermind – a gathering of MDs and CEOs over dinner.

Friday 14th – attendance in a NED capacity at a working party progress meeting in Birmingham.

Saturday 15th – a late night in Cardiff with Elton John.

Sunday 16th – a very early start to catch a flight to Corsica, as I answer a distress call from a friend who needs a crew to sail to Sardinia – just one of the perks of being able to manage your own diary.

That was by no means a typical week, but The Value Innovator continues to provide me with a stimulating variety of clients and assignments, networks and meetings, acquaintances and friendships AND of course the time, to take time out to do some of the other things that matter 😊

Improving the performance of your people, the profitability of your products and the productivity of your process.
